ABOUT The Cock Freehouse

The Cock  opened its doors in Jan 2020 with a determination to roll back the years and establish a 'proper pub' where great Ales are the centre piece of a place where people come to enjoy a great atmosphere with friends old and new - just like pubs used to be.  

​

In the bar you won't find distracting screens or fruit machines but you will find quirky decoration and artifacts in a beautiful listed building (1695 ) - it's a formula that's earnt us industry awards and recognition plus the support of our cherished customers.

As well as a wide range of quality real ales, wines, beers and spirits you'll also find hot drinks and a range of freshly made cold snacks.  If it's hot food you want just bring in a take-away (we'll provide crockery & cutlery).

Live music and events feature very regularly in our calendar - we love Blues, Country and Indy but mix it up with classic Rock and Pop for that nostalgia overload!
