ABOUT The Cock Freehouse

The Cock  opened its doors in Jan 2020 with a determination to roll back the years and establish a 'proper pub' where great Ales are the centre piece of a place where people come to enjoy a great atmosphere with friends old and new - just like pubs used to be.  

​

In the bar you won't find distracting screens or fruit machines but you will find quirky decoration and artifacts in a beautiful listed building (1695 ) - it's a formula that's earnt us industry awards and recognition plus the support of our cherished customers.

As well as a wide range of quality real ales, wines, beers, cocktails and spirits you'll also find hot fresh food from our Caribbean Kitchen where Chef Ashley works his magic to provide fresh tasty food every day from lunchtime (Except Mondays)

Live music and events feature very regularly in our calendar - we love Blues, Country and Indy but mix it up with classic Rock and Pop for that nostalgia overload!
